24 Questions Answered
I've been tagged by Zippy, And I tag Melanie, Courtney, and Paije!
Here goes:
1.Typically, what time do you wake up?
Around 7 or so.
2. On a good night, what time are your kids in bed?
School year: 8:30pm
Summertime: depends on if we have something going on the next day. between 9 & 10pm
3. How long have you been a mommy?
Almost 9 years
4. How old were you when you became a mom?
I was 19 years old
Here's what they look like now!
5. What is your favorite kids T.V. show?
6. What is your least favorite kids T.V. show?
OK, I'm going to answer 5 and 6 as what mine, R's, and L's favorite cartoons are:
Pokemon
TMNT
Hoodwinked
7. What is your favorite chore?
What kind of question is this? I thought chores were called chores because they were a chore to do! But I guess I'd say my favorite one is when R is unloading the dishwasher, or when L is vacuuming!
8. What is your favorite meal to cook?
It would have to be...the one where J BBQ's and I cut up stuff to go with it.
9. What meal do you cook most often?
Well, it depends on when you ask me this Question, I do make breakfast, lunch, and dinner pretty equally, about once a day. And I am answering all these Q's in the morning before I've made any meal, so right now the meal times are even. But this may be a trick Q, and I'm thinking too much in the box, snacks are probably considered a meal, a small one. And I and my family have snacks all the time, so that's the meal I make most often!
10. What is your kids favorite meal?
Right now it's Chicken Pot Pie for both of them.
11. What is your favorite thing your husband does with your kids?
I loved it when they were babies and J would change their diapers, and take naps with them. When L was a baby he did nothing but cry and eat, lets just say at that time it was poor me and J was the hero! He'd come home, take L so I could shower, then he'd cook dinner, play with R, and make us all feel great! (He was the dryer sheet to our static cling!)
Now a days he's still is #1 with those boys!!! He takes them fishing, wrestles with them, jokes with them, lets them 'help' with working outside, he helps discipline them, encourages them, makes it to their activities, reads to them, and plays games with them.
12. What are 5 things that make you smile about being a mom?
In no particular order--
A. When they sing, you know a child is happy and content when they just start to sing for no reason.
B. Hearing my boys laugh together and play together
C. Snuggle time...it's the best
D. Being able to watch my boys grow and see their accomplishments
E. Doing all those fun things a Mom gets to do like: plan fun days of outings, sign the boys up for activities (R's now in piano lessons and L's in soccer) be there when they need a shoulder to cry on, always being able to tickle them, hold their hand, color together, do homework together, take millions of pictures-I think this list could go on and on!
13. If you could take your kids anywhere, where would it be?
I'm w/Zippy I'd love to take the boys on a Disney Cruise!
14. When was the last time you went out without your kids?
The boys stayed at my brothers house while I went to girls camp the beginning of the month.
15. What is your favorite pastime/activity to do with your kids?
Everything, I just like them to be around!
16. Name one thing you said you would never say as a mother?
I would never swear at my kids.
17. Name something you do, that your own mom did?

Mommy Monday!
I just love being a Mom, especially to my 2 boys! One of my favorite things is when they joke around, make jokes, and make funny faces (like above).
Yesterday I was reading the paper and I said,
"It says here that kids should eat protein for breakfast"
J says, "Yeah, I knew that..."
Then R says all serious like, "Hmmm, and I thought kids were supposed to eat candy for breakfast"
We all look at him, he gives us the biggest grin and we all just cracked up!
Good Times, Good Times!
Well, we all survived R's week at cub scout day camp, whew! Friday night we packed up a picnic and went to the family night they had. The boys did their cheers, got their certificates, and presented their skits, it was long, but the boys had fun. R has earned 3 more silver arrows his BB and Bow and Arrow belt loops, and the Leave No Trace badge, way to go R!(My R in orange shorts hiding behind his packs flag!)
(R and his best Bud S with their pack leader)
(R and his pack during their skit)
And on Friday we got an excavator dropped off at the house!! J said he thought it'd be bigger. When he was talking to the guy he told him what his plans were and the guy pointed outside and said "like one of those?" J saw the big yellow one and said yes, when in reality the guy was pointing to the little green one beside it! But J and his 2 work buddies had the time of their lives playing on that thing, and now we have about a million stumps piled up and some awesome trails blazed through our woods!(L loving the ride!)
(J showing R how to use the levers!)
(J shaking the dirt off the tree)
(The path of destruction!)
(The boys exploring a new trail!)
R, J, and J's friend went fishing at the lake near our house. R was the only one who caught a fish, they brought it home and put it in the pool! The boys tortured that fish swimming with it and making it do 'tricks'. Poor L was left out on this trip, but he didn't mind too much because to compensate he got to ride 1st on the tractor!
I started getting the house ready for a few guests that will be here on the 1st, my Momba and my Sis Jewel with her little boy C are coming for a visit!!! I am so looking forward to this! But here's my evil secret...J will be gone soon and miss a lot of my Momba's visit, but I'm not too sad about it...this will give me, my Momba, and my Sis all kinds of girl time! This may be the one deployment that I'm not dreading, what a wife I am huh?! But don't feel too bad for J, it is a very short deployment, and he won't feel too bad about missing a house full of estrogen!(L helping me clean up!)

That Tune!
R and L will sing the tune to this song all the time and it just cracks me up!
Most of the time one will start it, stop 1/2 way through and the other will finish it. So funny!

There's Something Missing...
R is at Cub Scout Day Camp this week, we see him early morning, and then later in the afternoon. He is so excited and is loving the week. He is definitely an outdoor boy. He loves to run around in the woods and thinks his BBgun is absolutely rockin'! He gets to shoot a BBgun at camp, along with bow and arrows, do crafts, hang w/his best buddy S, and get a bunch of sign off's for his Wolf Arrow Trail.
This look L has is how we both feel when R decides to dump us for 4 full days of fun at camp...
L and I sure miss that cool kid. Yesterday we saw TMNT at the free kids movies at the theaters, I got 2 new shirts, L got some new shoes, and we just bopped around the house. Today we went to the store and walked around, then came home for homework and cartoons. Well, we did have what L called some 'private time' in the car and shared a yummy cinnamon roll.
We just can't wait til the end of Friday, that's when this silliness of R being gone during the day ends. I have to say, R sure is a punk for growing up.

Friday Favorites!
1. Cribbage - J came home the other day w/a cribbage board! It was so neat 'cuz I always talk about them and about the game and how much I love to play. My Mom always played cribbage w/us growing up and it was so fun! So when J brought it home I was so excited, but it turned out I had almost forgotten how to play, good thing it had a rule book w/it! So I won the 1st game, and J won the 2nd, I think his was beginners luck!
2. Dinner By R - The Menu and The Chicken Pot Pie
R has made the week's dinner menu, and has helped me cook the dinner's. He was very excited to do this, and I have to admit, it has made dinner prep much more fun for me!
3. Library Reading -
The library has a summer reading challenge. Every week there is some cool activity, and every Wed. there is Wacky Wed., you have to find 3 wacky things in the library and then you get to pick a fun prize out of the treasure chest. This week they had fake mustaches!
4. Clearing -
We bought a jungle instead of woods when we got out here. J has been Awesome at clearing it! This summer he has made some crazy headway out there and is now putting up a fence, its so exciting! The boys especially love to help out Dad out in the woods!
5. Pool - We got a little pool since there are not many clean swimming places around. So the kids get to splash it up in the pool, or put the sprinkler under the trampoline for some fun jumping! They have just loved that little pool, they are in and out of it all day, what fun boys!

A Little Crabby!
J got to go fishing w/a friend last weekend. They didn't get any fish, but they did get some crabs. The boys were pretty excited when J showed them this crabby guy! I didn't eat it--didn't feel like living the consequences of a food reaction--but the boys ate it w/J. They all loved it and wished there was more!

Memory Tag!
I got this off my friends blog and thought it might be fun, plus it gives me a chance to find out how many people actually read my blog :)
1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Summer Catch-Up!
OK, we survived, and yesterday I finally got my homework turned in and am caught up, nothing due until Wed, and all the clothes are clean, and the house doesn't look like a disaster anymore!
R reminded me that my last few weeks, even though so fun, of busy schedule, R getting sick, and tons of homework, took its toll on me. This weekend I was giving him his meds and he looks at me with his handsome eyes and his cute smile and says, "Mom, you have a lot of zits on your face!" Uhm, thanks R, that what happens when I get a bit stressed out. That kid...
Anyway, the posts start with our weekend with my Bro's family at the end of June then goes until Girls camp from last week, happy reading!
Vorcery, Date, Work, Heart Attack Hill!
The time at my Bro's house was just awesome!
J and I got there dropped the boys off and had a hard time not leaving rubber marks in their driveway as we zoomed off! We had a great time and the coolest thing was that we could be gone as long as we wanted 'cuz they were with S&M and we didn't have to take them home afterwards either!
The weather was crazy hot and we just loved it. The guys went to the Island to work a job on Sat. and M and I played w/the kido's and decided to work it. We jogged 2 miles and then attacked the hill 3 times and finished with some painful toning--so glad neither of us passed out, that would have been awkward!
Games is always so fun. We played a card game Rage, then played Taboo. Oh, I think games just get funnier as the time gets later! My favorite words said during the game were: Vorcery, and 'its a cat that copies itself'!
The food was even better than ever, how do you do that M?!?! The last day the kidos played in the sprinkler and we all melted a little. Right before we left we ran to the river and all cooled off before the hot ride home.
Camp P. Reunion and Beautiful Idaho!
All the cousins that came!(
There are more pics on a CD that CousinW put together but I haven't got them on my computer yet, these were the only 2 taken w/ my camera!)
Right after getting back from my Bro's J and I became a couple of crazy whirlwinds. We washed clothes, cleaned out the car, packed the car, he did some homework, and I did some homework. Then we slept a few hours and he jumped on his Sweet Motorcycle and I followed with the boys. We drove over in almost 100 degree heat with no AC in the car! At one rest area we had the boys run thru the sprinklers that were on in a little field! But we all survived and made it to beautiful Northern Idaho.
We were the first there for the reunion. We set up, swam it up, tended to J's toasty arms (happens when you ride in a t-shirt all across WA!) If I were him I'd have no skin left, but he just got a super dark tan.
The next day family rolled in, we all got camp right together. There was swimming, big meals, visits to town, late nights, the awesome boat with tubing skiing and wake boarding, and about 1 million kids! It was cousin central there at Camp P.!
The auction was fun, L and R won some great jars of candy, and somehow we left with a t-shirt that says "I Love Farting"--good one J...
The Auction ran a little long and so we missed the firework show we were planning to see and so I took my boys along with AuntMP and K to Walmart where the kido's got a little treat and we bought a box of fireworks that you don't light, the popits and the pull string kind. We set them all off in the parking lot, they all had fun and made a huge mess! (I cleaned most of it up!)
While there R had the worst allergies ever, it look like he was stung in the face, poor kid. I woke up early most of the mornings and got to go on walks down roads that have the most beautiful scenery, it was gorgeous.
My favorite moment was going down to the dock with my boys all on our own with a box of pop-tarts, juice, vanilla wafers, and soda and we sat out on the dock and had a little breakfast picnic, just the 3 of us. The sun was out, the water was smooth, and I just got to sit there chatting it up with my boys, could it get any better?

Girls Camp!
Me and MW
We got home Sat night from Idaho, and Sun was homework, finish up beads that I'd been working on for months, wash clothes, and try not to panic!
Mon I dropped off beads at camp (which is only about a mile away!) and took R to the doctors for his crazy eyes-by now his whole face was red and rough and he even had scabs near his eyes, all the meds I had were doing nothing to relieve his allergies. The doctor was awesome and R got eye drops, allegra, and a cortizone cream for his face. I stayed home with him and L to get the meds going and already by Tue morning he was looking better!
So packed them and me up and ran the boys to my Bro's. They were so excited! They can't wait for girls camp to start cuz it means staying the week at S&M's house, I love that they can go there, I never worry a drop when they are there!
I made it to camp by lunch time on Tue and was so happy that my friend MW came to camp with me, while I was gone she took care of everything! We had 21 girls from our ward go, way cool! There was about 150 girls and leaders there this year. It was one awesome year! I love the little hikes, the devotionals, the food totally rocked, the crafts were uber cute, of course the testimony meeting was wonderful, and the weather couldn't have been better!
The 1st aid leaders planned this awesome activity. They made a mock-battle and split the girls into 2 groups-Lamanites and Nephites. The ammo was water balloons and flour bombs inside of nylons sitting in the middle of the feild. Man it was the coolest thing to see all the girls run in and just get into it! A few of us leaders had super soaker guns and we got to run around the outside and spray the girls--I only got flour bombed once and stayed dry until after it was all done MW got me w/my water bottle! After all ammo was used then there were the "wounded" that the girls had to treat. It was just the funnest idea, and afterwards all the girls got to jump in the lake to wash off their flour.
I love going to girls camp!

Summer Time is A Wondrous Time!
OK, so summer has been busy, but wonderful!
We had a rockin' time at my Bro's house, followed my a whirlwind packing evening then straight to Idaho to the family reunion for 6 days of sun and fun, run home to unpack, take R to the doc's, get all girls camp stuff ready and the boys' stuff ready, drop the boys off to my Bro's for the week (Thank You M!!!), and then spend 4 days at girls camp. Now we are all home, J and I both have homework piled up, plus the dirtiest house I've ever seen, loads of dirty + clean clothes everywhere! So J and I are taking turns with chores and computer time.
